Poley Mountain XC

Top 3 for the Elite Men's and Women's races held yesterday at Poley Mtn ski hill in Sussex NB. In the elite men's category, there were 13 starters and 8 finishers. The XC is not a Canada Cup. The Elite women had 4 starters & 3 finishers.

Elite Men
1. Leis, Mark (Aus) Giant Bicycles
2. Hotchin, Nick (Nzl) NZMBA
3. Leishman, Mark (Nzl) NZMBA

Elite Women
1. Parker, Sadie (Nzl)Trek
2. Townsend, Claire (BC) ORYX
3. Healy, Anna (NB) Radical Edge

Today is the Canada Cup DH. The Elite Men's field has 44 entries, with a total of 97 competitors for all events. The course id described as "really, really, really " fast by everyone who has ridden it. The course is dry and hardpacked. Weather is sunny and warm, but the "bugs are bad". Hey, it is June and it is New Brunswick........
