Wohlberg Wins

This news is slightly stale, but we want to thank Helene Houle for sending it in:

Just noticed that you had no coverage of the Santa Rosa Wine Country Classic Road Race held in Santa Rosa on March 28th. An early breakaway consisting of Fred Rodriguez, Trent Klasna, Gord Fraser and Eric stayed for away for 127 kms of the 128 kms race. With the field on their heels Wohlberg attacked with 1 km to go and he made it to the line. The Breakaway was caught and the field sprint for second was won by Julian Dean. John Peters finished third.

In the women's race an early break of Linda Jackson, Louisa Jenkins, Leigh Hobson and an independent rider stayed away for the full duration. Jackson attacked the break and finished solo. Leigh was second and Jenkins fourth. On Sunday April 19th, Eric was racing the scaled down version of the 89er stage race. He was taken down from behind and broke his clavicle. He is home early recuperating and will hopefully be back on the saddle in time for the Queen's Park race.
