La Bicicletta "Now on Castlefield" 2002 Series Final Event September 11 3 Up Team Madison (not part of series)
This exciting event was held on a technical, 1.5 km circuit at the Hershey Centre. Changeover was in a 300 metre zone and no hand slings were allowed. Although there were only 7 teams, the event was keenly contested and most riders learned lots about changeovers in a very short time.Midweek C.C., Halton Road and Trail and Pavan Lindeberg fielded complete teams, with the remaining riders forming four composite teams. All in all, it proved to be a great way to end La Bicicletta series.

Thought for this anniversary day: The events following the September 11th bombing of the World Trade Towers made me realize that a). we have a great life here in Canada, The majority of people in many other places don't get a chance to pursue their sports or indeed, to move around freely and, b). most of the workers who produce the majority of the frames and gruppos we use can't afford to buy their own bicycles.
