Canada Cup #2 Hardwood Hills
Glenn Meeuwisse sent us this report
Riders from across Canada, the US and New Zealand have converged on Hardwood Hills for the 2nd stop on the Canada Cup circuit, and to gain valuable UCI points at the E1 ranked Gears Racing Canada Cup.
The field promises to be much more competitive with confirmed starters such as Seamus McGrath, Ricky Federau, Julian Hine, Max Plaxton (jr), Frederic Bussieres, and of course the top riders from Canada Cup #1 - Jesse Jakomait, Roddi Legga, Greg Reain, Mark Webster, Mike Garrigan and Andrew Watson. Foreign riders from the US and New Zealand have also come up to gain UCI points and compete for the $10,000 prize purse.
This should make the battle for 1st and even top 10 an extremely exciting race to watch. The course has received very positive reviews. The forecast for Saturdays Elite and Jr Expert race is only 30% chance of rain, with cooler temperatures, and Sunday is looking for clearer skies and nice cool weather for racing.
Hope all you race fans can make the effort to cheer on your favorites for Saturday and then enjoy your own race Sunday.
See you on the trails, Glen
