Free Gord!

Bell Helmets is running a "Free Gord Fraser" campaign after the Canadian sprinter and his team were banned from entering any Threshold Sports events, including the USPro Championships in Philadelphia this Sunday, the current Wachovia Cycling series and the San Francisco GP later in the season.

The HealthNet team was banned after a legal dispute between Fraser and Threshold has ended up in court. Fraser won the first three events in the 2000 BMC Software series, and was eligible to win the $250,000 prize if he won the fourth stage, which was cancelled when Nicole Reinhart died in the women's event. Fraser and his Mercury team are in a dispute over whether the bonus should be awarded.

The Bell Sports campaign can be found at www.bellbikehelmets.com/main/freegord.html.
