Waddell Update

We have received an update on John Waddell, the American downhiller who crashed badly at Mont Ste Anne last Saturday. He is in stable condition, but still unconscious. Doctors say that it should take a couple of weeks for him to regain full consciousness, which is normal after a hit as severe as he suffered. They are expressing optimism for a full recovery.

Road Nationals ITT Comments

Sean Scott, the Masters A National Champion has sent a few comments on the ITT course, having had a chance to race on it.

Not many athletes besides the top riders have ever experienced a technical course like that . . . it was for me a special treat to challenge myself against that particular course. I think for Juniors, Espoirs and up and coming riders it gave them an idea of what to expect at an international level. And what can you say about Eric's ride other than it was brilliance personified. For anyone who participated in Friday's event I do not think that we will soon forget how great it was to have this opportunity to test ourselves against THAT course.
