Olympic Sprint Qualifying
In the early match ups, it looked like Germany and France (who went head-to-head) would be the teams to beat, recording 1:04.077 and 1:04.223 respectively. However, in the second last pairing, Poland and the United States put on a stellar performance, running neck and neck through most of the 3 lap race until Poland managed to pull slightly ahead in the last lap. Poland went under 1:03, while the USA was below 1:04. They will meet again in the gold medal final tonight, while France and Germany will fight it out for the bronze.
