Courtesy Lesley Tomlinson

Lesley Tomlinson and Gretchen Reeves overcame sickness and late challenges from the competition to take the title of one of the Worlds Toughest Mountain Bike Races. Over 650km and 22,000 meters of climbing took its toll on many of the competitors in the final stages. The leaders jerseys stayed with Rocky Mountain Crystal Decisions for the women and T Mobile for the men as the race wound up in Riva Italy on July 26 2003.
