Haro Canada is proud to announce the signing of young superstar BMX-4 Cross rider Tyler Clarke. He will be a strong addition to the new 2004 elite Haro Canada Race Team. Photo

For the 2004 season, Tyler will be competing in Canada Cup BMX races, the Nationals, and all other major Western Canadian BMX races. Tyler's versatility and keen desire to compete will also mean he'll be throwing it down at the BC Cup 4X series and Joyride event in Whistler.

It's for good reason that Tyler is known as "the hawk". With an arsenal full of recent major titles like the 2003 National BMX Champion, 2003 BC Supercup Provincial Champion, 2003 King of Bikes Champion, and a 3rd place overall title in the Canada Cup BMX Series, "the hawk"‰ is always perched and ready to pounce on potential prey. Tyler's co-sponsors include SHIFT, Cti2, and Groove Graphix.

Norco Performance Bikes, one of North America's leading producers of high quality mountain bikes, components, and clothing, is proud to announce that Quebecois Down Hill Champion Hugo Donais will be flying the Norco colours once again in the Men's Pro/Elite category.

"We're totally stoked to have Hugo racing for our DH Team again,"says Peter Stace-Smith, Norco Factory Team Director, "He's not only fast, but his heart is totally into racing and to giving his all. Not to mention he brings the team that special Quebecois Joie-de-vivre."

With results like 2003 Quebec Men's Pro/elite Champion, 2003 Canada Cup stage winner, 2003 National Team member, and 2001 Junior Canada Cup Champ, it's certain that Donais will be throwing it down with serious intent this season. He has also spent his off-season training hard in Victoria to ensure he gets a good jump-start on the 2004 race season.

We all look forward to seeing Donais racing the Canada Cup DH Series, bumping shoulders on the 4-Cross tracks and his new section in the upcoming Eastern Standard film Full Throttle.

Athlete Testing in Hamilton
Courtesy Brandon Crichton

On Saturday December 6th the National Cycling Center Hamilton (NCCH) tested 31 athletes. With a huge coaching staff on hand to assist, 4 riders at a time were wattage tested on the computrainers.

It was a hard day of training and afterwards, I think, everyone was very impressed with the way it was laid out and organized. Cheers to all the coachesof the McMaster Training Center. Thanks also to Rob Good of the Waterloo Cycling Club, Michael Moore of Gears Racing Team, and Mark Cleland of the McMaster Cycling Team who volunteered their time to make this event a success!

Photos are intended show the formation of the NCCH and how it has began to take shape.
