Hardwood Canada Cup / O-Cup Registration

Online registration for the Canada Cup Cross country #3 (and the associated Ontario Cup), to be held at Hardwood Hills, Ontario June 5-6 is now available. Click on the race registration button on the left side of your browser window. You can register for the cross country, short track and Bike for the Cure Breast Cancer ride. Rates go up $10 after May 30th.

Online registration for the 11th annual Paris-Ancaster continues to fill briskly, so do not delay if you want one of the t-shirts that go to the first 500 participants.


Montreal World Cup Award

The Montreal Women's World Cup Cycling is the winner of the Ulysse Prize for the best tourist event with a budget under $500,000 in the Montreal area for the second year in a row. The prize was awarded on March 4th at The Grands Prix du Tourisme 2004 gala evening. Montreal is the only city on the North American continent to host a Road World Cup. M. Daniel Manibal, the organisation's president and general director, thanked the community of Montreal for its support as well as the media for their involvement in the international recognition of the event.

This year, the seventh edition of the Montreal Women's World Cup, will be held on May 29th, and the third edition of the Greater Montreal Tour will take place from May 31 to June 2.

The Montreal Women's World Cup is now a finalist for the national Gala des Grands Prix du tourisme québécois, which will be held at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal on May 14.


Ontario Commissaires Meeting Rescheduled

Due to the March break period, the meeting has to be rescheduled. The new date is Sunday March 28th at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Team Cervélo 2004

Team Cervélo is ready to start its fourth season with a much larger and enhanced team and greater sponsorship depth. Team Cervélo will consist of two CCA Trade teams for the 2004 season, Cervélo Women's Elite Team and the Cervélo Master Men's Team.

The following riders will sport Team Cervélo/Giroscopic Sports Mtg. colors for the women's team in 2004: Returning riders, Leigh Hobson, Julia Farell, Claudine Labelle, Nanci Dodman, and Anna Garnett, will be joined by Rhonda Guzda, and Jennifer Stephenson.

On the men's side the team will consist of: Andrew Stewart, Lorne Cunliff, Mark Davies, Scott Gerrie, John Wiman, Cary Moretti and Gord Henderson, new to the team are Augy Marmelo and Chris Cavacuiti.

Management & Support: Team Manager Scott Gerrie, Assistant Manager Pete Lang, Mechanic Warren Chang and the Team Coach Mark Davies.
