News from Mission, B.C. - Now that the calendar says "APRIL" and the clock is moving ahead one hour, it's time for Phoenix Velo Training Group to start the season. We meet at the Mission Raceway on Wednesdays at 6 pm for a half hour of coaching, sign-on at 6:30 for a warm up, and race simulations at 7 pm. There are usually 20 to 30 entrants in 3 groups. The membership fee is $45, or $25 if you are already an insured member of Cycling BC. Guest fee is $4.00. We are here every Wednesday all summer in a no vehicle venue with a 1K circuit. There are lots of paved paths for little ones to practice, so it is a good family venue. Some who do not race just come to ride in a safe environment for fitness and fun. We keep records of points accumulated during the season and award cash prizes at the AGM in September. Everyone welcome starting Wednesday, April 7th. Contact 604-856-1411 or pwenting@shaw.ca.

Paris-Ancaster Update

Registrations continue to pour in for the Paris-Ancaster, which is only two weeks away. To register, click on the Race Registration button on left side. Pre-registration can save you up to 33% over day-of.

Volunteers are needed for the P-A. Registration assistants for Paris on Saturday evening and Sunday are needed, as well as at Ancaster (for those catching the bus). Course marshals are always welcome, too. Lunch, t-shirt, undying gratitude and witty conversation all included.

Contact jthorpe@cogeco.ca if you are able to help out.

Happy Birthday To...

Ray Duggan, today.
