Six Atlantic Cyclists to Participate at Grand Prix Cycliste de Beauce

Atlantic Canada is proud to announce that they will be sending six of its cyclists to the "Grand Prix de Beauce" one of the most prestigious races in America, which takes place from the 15th to the 20th of June in Beauce, Quebec. This race includes some of the best cyclists in America with three teams from the European division.

The Atlantic Selection, Dieppe Auto Centre, Volkswagen is proud to be sending four of the six cyclists: Andrew Scott (Charlottetown), Nathan St-Onge (Amherst), Dustin MacBurnie (Truro) and Kevin Noiles (Lower Sackville). They will be joined by three cyclists from the "Espoir Laval" team to form a complete group of seven racers.

Also participating in this race from Atlantic Canada are Cory Jay (Charlottetown) from Team Canada and Phil Cortes (Campbellton) with his Ital Pasta team.

A big accomplishment as well as an honor, the National Cycling Center - Atlantic Canada is thrilled to be a part of this big and prestigious event. As Luc Arseneau, head coach at the National Cycling Centre in Dieppe, has mentioned it: "It will be a great experience for our young cyclists to have the opportunity to be next to some of the best professionals in America."

L'Atlantique est fier d'annoncer la participation de six de ses coureurs au Grand Prix de Beauce

Étant l'une des plus grandes courses de vélo en Amérique, l'événement aura lieu du 15 au 20 juin 2004, dans la région de Beauce, Qc. et regroupera les meilleurs cyclistes de l'Amérique, de même que des équipes de trois divisions Européennes.

Parmi les six coureurs, nous retrouvons dans la Sélection Atlantique, Centre Dieppe Auto, Volkswagen : Andrew Scott (Charlottetown), Nathan St-Onge (Amberst), Dustin MacBurnie (Truro) et Kevin Noiles (Lower Sackville). Les 4 routiers seront en partenariat avec le club cycliste Espoir Laval, pour constituer une équipe complète de sept coureurs.

De plus, nous aurons aussi la chance de voir Cory Jay (Charlottetown) en tant que coureur pour l'équipe Canada et Phil Cortes (Campbellton) pour l' équipe Ital Pasta. Ceci est un grand accomplissement ainsi qu'un honneur pour le Centre national de cyclisme - Canada Atlantique de participer à cet événement de grande envergure. Comme le souligne Luc Arseneau, entraîneur chef du Centre national de cyclisme de Dieppe : "Donner la chance à nos jeunes coureurs de côtoyer les meilleurs professionnels en Amérique représentera une excellente expérience pour eux."

The Subway Regional Series in Dieppe

The Subway Regional Series is at its second month with a very high success level thanks to the high degree of participation from the Greater Moncton cyclists. It includes 9 races on a three month period with three races Criterium, three races Track and three races Mountain Bike.

La Série Régional Subway en est a son deuxième mois avec un très haut degré de succès grace a la grande participation de la part des cyclistes de la région du grand Moncton.
