This past weekend the B.C. Provincial series made its stop at the ever popular Bear Mountain DH track just on the outskirts of Mission, B.C.

Bear Mountain has remained one of the top downhill courses in the Province simply due to it being 100% single track, every riders dream! This years course was a little on the muddy side, which caused some problems with keeping speed for the jumps. Thus high-end fitness definitely came into play in the latter stages of the run with riders having to pedal faster than they wanted to (or could) in order to clear the jumps.

At the end of the day Giant Canada's Danika Schroeter again came out on top as she cruised her run, used her bmx skills to manual some of the muddy jumps and beat the second place rider by 20 seconds. On an interesting note, Danika's time was good enough to beat over 25% of the Pro men's times!

On the men's side, Giant Canada's Brant Lyon had a solid run and used his Victoria, B.C. learned mud-riding skills to end up a close second to U.S. rider Shaums March.
