More Giro News (courtesy Nica Lewis, Giro press officer)

What a day yesterday. Crash before the finish that involved all the big name riders, especially Linda. Her back was really hurting her after the race (she had tears in her eyes...) My heart went out to her because she looked so disappointed (and in pain). Then after the race, Italian TV wanted to interview Anna WIlson (the stage winner) and asked me to interpret. Wheeee! I was on tv !!

10th stage
Anna Wilson, 2:14:46
Jackson +0:36 (37th)
Lisa Robinson +0:36 (55th)
Kim Langton +1:38 (67th)

Overall
Jackson 2nd
Kim Langton 52nd
Lisa Robinson 76th

Tour de France

The Tour begins today with the Prologue, the first of 3 stages to be held in Ireland. The 5.6 kilometre Prologue will be held in the heart of Dublin. The first rider will roll down the starting ramp at 10:32 am EDT (3:32 pm local Dublin time). We will give you some updates on the leaders at various points during the day. By the way, it is currently raining in Dublin...

Conyers Update

We just spoke with Chrissy Redden (Team Ritchey) from Georgia, where she will be taking part in the World Cup race later today. Chrissy said that the temperatures are not as high as everyone had been expecting (in the high 20‚s Celcius, rather than mid-30‚s), and that the course was really fast. Expect news around 3:30 pm EDT from the women‚s race.
