Armstrong Skips Athens

Lance Armstrong has announced that he will not represent the U.S.A. at the Athens Olympics, according to Associated Press. He said that he wants to spend more time with his children. This opens up a spot on the Olympic road squad for another rider, possibly a time trialist. Before Armstrong made his announcement earlier today, the men's road team consisted of himself, George Hincapie, Tyler Hamilton, Bobby Julich and Jason McCartney. Now it is likely that Julich and Hamilton will do the time trial, and another rider will be added. It could by USPro champion Freddy Rodriguez, Levi Lepheimer, or possibly even a domestic rider like Chris Horner.
