The 2004 24 Hours of Adrenalin National Solo Championships just completed with record participant numbers in its 9th annual event. Weather was hot throughout the weekend, draining all riders, however providing the best nighttime conditions.

In addition to the four person, five person and ten person teams, Canmore played host to Canada's first ever 24 Hour Solo Championships. Sheri Foster from Edmonton, in her first ever attempt at this format won the Women's title over local Cyd Fraser. The battle was contested down to the very last lap with Foster completing 15 laps in 23:35:35 over Fraser's 15 laps in 23:54:22 only 19 minutes behind.

In the Men's solo Canadian championships, new comer Marty Bulock from Calgary won not only the National Tile, but won his first attempt a the discipline. Bulock won with 18 laps of the course in 23:03:53, over local Ryan Draper from Canmore.

Winners were awarded with a special designed national jersey, a set of Hayes disk breaks and a Four night stay at the official 24 Hours of Adrenalin World Solo Championships, September 3 & 4 in Whistler, BC.

"Canadian athletes look strong and should have they're best showing at this years worlds," said Stuart Dorland, Founder of the 24 Hours of Adrenalin. "It's great to see the 24 Hours of Adrenalin continuing to develop and especially the emerging category of solo racing".
