Corso Italia Grand Prix 2004

This event is one of the biggest and best bicycle races to be held in the GTA in a number of years. The Corso Italia BIA has generously provided the capital to help the race to become a classic. The prize purse of over $10,000 makes the Corso Italia Grand Prix the richest event of is kind in the province.

Over 300 riders from Ontario, Quebec and the USA will be competing in one of 6 races during the day, with the 100 kilometre Pro-am event at 3pm being contested by some of the top riders in North America.

The challenging 2.5km circuit using both sides of St Clair Avenue West, between Dufferin and Caledonia, and looping south on Lansdowne and Davenport to provide a stiff climb. This is a very technical course and will provide spectators with a great chance to see top teams using tactics and skill to try and get the edge over their opponents.

The Midweek Cycling Club and the Corso Italia BIA are delighted to take advantage of this unique opportunity to bring top class road racing back to the area.
