Jeanson and Rona Split

Radio Canada is reporting that Rona has formally indicated to Genevieve Jeanson and her team manager Andre Aubut that they will not be renewing their sponsorship of Jeanson and her team next year.  The news is not a real surprise, since rumours of Rona pulling out have been circulating for months.   While incidents such as the high hematocrit result in Hamilton last year at the Road Worlds, and non-participation at the Athens Games have certainly not helped the possibility of Rona re-signing, it should also be pointed out that the company has been involved for six years, and would be likely to move on at some point anyway.   Jeanson's team has made no comment on the loss of Rona (or potential replacement sponsors) at this time.
