Van Bon Takes Stage 9

The breakaway managed to hold off a closing pack by 12 seconds at the end of the 210 kilometre 9th stage, which has just concluded. Leon Van Bon (Rabobank) held off Jen Voigt (Gan) to take the stage, with Massimiliano Lelli (Cofidis) in third. Christophe Agnolutto (Casino) managed to bridge up to the break in the final few kilometres to take 4th, with Erik Zabel (Telekom) taking the field sprint for 5th.
