Socializing

MAMBO Kings MTB club invites you to S4, the first annual Single Speed, Single Malt & Singletrack Social, taking place at Mansfield Outdoor Centre this Sunday, October 03, 2004. We will enjoy an afternoon riding the trails of Mansfield and the surrounding Dufferin Forest, then adjourn for a wee dram of Scotland's national treasure. Please join us.

Details:
Meet in the parking lot at Mansfield Outdoor Centre MTB Hut. It is on Airport Road, about 10 km North of Hwy 89. You will know you are in the right group when you are amongst people with 1-gear bikes. Be ready to ride at 11:00 AM. Bring cash - you will need to purchase a trail pass from Mansfield.

If you would like to participate in the whisky tasting - bring a little more cash. $10 to be exact, which covers the cost of purchase. If there is any profit, it will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which helps people learn to survive cancer.

Lance's Tour in Kananaskis Sunday September 26th

After his speaking engagment in Toronto on Friday afternoon, Lance Armstrong flew west for a "Tour of Hope" in Kananaskis, a fundraising event for cancer research. Participants paid $25,000 for the once in a lifetime chance to ride with Lance and teammate George Hincapie. The 130km tour started in Longview, crossing Highwood Pass, and ending in Kananaskis Village. Photos
