The 4th round of the Track World Cup begins Friday the 18th of February at the Olympic Velodrome in Sydney, Australia.

Competing in the men's sprint events will be The Track Team's Travis Smith - Kilometre Time Trial and Team Sprint. He will be looking to improve his 5th place result from the 2nd round of the World Cup, increasing his World Cup Points to lock in a berth at the World Championships March 24-27th back on his home track of Los Angeles.

Joining Travis in the Team Sprint will be The Track Team's Cam MacKinnon, who has been a multiple National Champion. Cam represented Canada at several World Cups and Junior Worlds, and is a rising young Canadian Cycling Star.

Starting for the Team Sprint will be The Track Team's Yannik Morin, who has been a winter Olympian in Bobsleigh, Mr. Natural Universe, and also a multiple National Champion and World Cup Representative for Canada. TheTrackTeam.ca is very proud of these athletes and want to wish them a successful World Cup.

There will be more representation from the Canadian National Cycling Team, which has yet to release the official roster. Among them will be Lori-Anne Muenzer, possibly Matt Chater? We would like to wish everyone a very successful event.


OrganicAthlete Victoria Announces 2005 Roster

Victoria, BC - OrganicAthlete Victoria is proud to announce their roster for upcoming race season. In 2005 our roster will include former Canadian Olympic Athlete Luca Segato, Multiple Brazilian National Time Trial Champion Daniel Goncalves, complemented by a supporting cast of Elite Level Category 1/2 Pro Racers: Jason Eagles, David MacLeod, Quinn Anderson, Robert Cameron, Sven Sturm, Ezra Nichols, Roger Tinney, Charles Dethridge, and Brett Boniface. These athletes prove that athletes can be successful and live a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle.

This year the team will compete at Provincial, National and International Levels. The main focus of the team will be on key events throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canadian Road and Track Championships, BC Cup Series, World Masters Games, and the Tour de Santa Catarina.
