Roland led through short parade lap then Andreas jumped to get in front on the singletrack for the 3500‚ (vertical) climb. At end of first lap Roland was in front and rode away. Andreas in second until last lap, when Peter went by him. Trish Sinclair took the hole shot for the parade lap, then Melanie Dorion passed at the start of the climb (like Roland). The weather conditions were perfect, and the track was dry. In the men‚s race, there is a report that Canada Cup leader Bill Hurley (Schwinn) was disqualified. At the time Hurley was some 25 minutes down, having had to stop to fix a troublesome flat. Greg will be supplying further results and information later this evening. Right now he is attending the awards ceremony and conducting interviews.
