Forest City Velodrome Update

Thank you to everyone who voted for the new logo for the Forest City Velodrome in London Ontario. A total of 388 individuals voted for the 8 designs. At midnight Sunday night the voting ended, the winner will be announced and unveiled at the Grand Opening in 2 weeks.

We at the Velodrome want to thank everyone who submitted a logo for their support of the track. We look forward to seeing everyone at the opening evening. The winning design will be available on T-shirts and Coffee mugs as a fund raising effort for the track.

In other news, the Plywood will arrive this week with the work crew waiting for the installation. The grandstand seats are being painted this week, with 500 prime veiwing on the two straight aways. The remainder of the grandstands will be carpeted for your comfort.

The F.C.V.A. is also pleased to announce that the winner of the carbon disc rear wheel donated by long time OCA member and track cyclist Greg Stephanson, was Kurt Schreiter of Kitchener with a bid of $250.00. Thanks to everyone who put bids in by the March 31st deadline.

I will send more information out on the Grand opening as we get closer to completion of the racing surface.

Yours in Sport
Rob Good
