Win a New Track Bike

This Saturday night at the Forest City Velodrome is the final night to buy tickets on a new custom built track bike. Winterborne Custom Bicycles from Guelph Ontario, is the sponsor of the evening's race program that will feature a competition to determine the track record for Juniors & Women. The Senior Men's record is currently held by Vancouver's Keith Thorarinson at 8.43 seconds, Just shy of the 60kph plateau of 8.27seconds.

The Draw for the custom track bike will take place before the 50 lap points race for the London track league racers. The Forest City Velodrome is excited to have the opportunity to present the lucky winner with their custom Winterborne track bike. All the money collected for the bike will go to the Youth Cycling Programs at the Velodrome.

Riders are expected from Toronto, Detroit, Hamilton, Buffalo and the local London competitors will be on hand for the racing action.

Rider warm-up: 5:30 - 6:50pm.
Racing begins at 7pm.

Other Velodrome News:

So far in the first 3 weeks of the Learn to Ride programs our Volunteers have put 43 new riders on the boards. If you are interested in getting on the track please take the time to contact one our ride leaders, Names & Contact numbers can be found at www.ForestCityVelodrome.ca

The Ontario Track Championships will take place on the weekend of June 17th & 18th. A schedule and event times will be published in the next few days. The event is open to Out of Province riders, they cannot win medals. It will be a great tune-up for the Track Nationals in Calgary in late June. The Ontario Championships will have competition for Senior Men, Juniors, Women & Masters.
