Quebec Youth Championships

This (past) weekend was the youth championship in Sherbrooke QC. Francis Morin, Canadian champion won everything in his category. There were 178 participants with ages ranging from 7 to 16 years.

On Saturday was a criterium for all categories. Sunday was the trial competition in the morning and in the afternoon was the time trial. The course was hard and technical but dry.

Criterium on saturday. These are from the youngest categorie called "bibittes". They did 2 small laps.

Next up, the pee wees. 2 laps from a much longer course

seven (This is Camille Morin, the young sister of Francis, canadian champion. She wins everytime she races. I see her at the weekly races and she is fast. She beats a lot of boys her age)

Next up, the minimes, 3 laps on basically the same course but with a section added

twentythree (third lap, Francis was very smooth and powerfull troughout the tecnical course)

twentysix (this guy was the only racer in his categorie without clipless pedal and was riding heavy steel bike. He still managed 16th out of 32 participants)
