CCA Merchandising Up And Running

The Canadian Cycling Association has launched its merchandising program. Canadian cycling fans can now purchase the Athens 2004 national team jersey and national team water bottles through the CCA website. This service can be accessed here: (merchandise).

The CCA will be launching a completely redesigned website in the coming weeks, which will allow for an expansion of the merchandising program. In the meantime, the CCA hopes cyclists around the world will enjoy the modest program in place.

Revenues from CCA merchandising go directly to support CCA national team programs.

CCA Hires Jacky Hardy As Assistant Road Coach

The Canadian Cycling Association is proud to announce the hiring of Jacky Hardy as Assistant Road Coach for the national team. Jacky has been fulfilling this role with the CCA over the last three years by running the espoir men’s program in Europe and managing various other projects in Europe and North America.

“Jacky is a huge asset to the CCA’s programs,” said High Performance Director Kris Westwood. “His profound knowledge of road cycling and his ability to work with developing riders will be key elements in the success of the programs we are planning for 2006 and beyond.”

Jacky will continue to be responsible for CCA programs in Europe, including managing a European base of operations. He will work closely with the other National Team coaches and with Sean O’Donnell and Kris Westwood unit at the national office.

Jacky is a former professional cyclist from Normandy whose career included a stage win in the Peace Race and a spot on the Fiat team in the 1978 Tour de France. After retiring from competition, he was the editor of a major French cycling magazine. He now lives in Guadeloupe.


L’ACC Devoile Son Programme De Marchandise

Des produits de l’équipe nationale sont maintenant disponibles sur le site web de l’Association cycliste canadienne. Les supporteurs du cyclisme canadien peuvent y procurer le maillot Athènes 2004 ainsi que le bidon de l’équipe nationale. Ce service est disponible sous la rubrique « programmes » (merchandise).

L’ACC lancera une site web complètement redessinée dans les prochaines semaines, ce qui permettra au programme de marchandise à prendre de l’ampleur. Entre temps, l’ACC souhaite que les cyclistes a travers le monde profiteront du programme modeste en place.

Les revenus de vente de la marchandise seront utilisés pour soutenir les programmes de l’équipe nationale.


L’ACC Engage Jacky Hardy Comme Entraineur Adjoint Sur Route

L’Association cycliste canadienne est fière d’annoncer que Jacky Hardy a été engagé comme entraîneur adjoint route de l’équipe nationale. Jacky continuera ainsi dans un rôle qu’il a rempli depuis trois ans, gérant notamment le programme espoir masculin en Europe et divers autres projets en Europe et en Amérique du nord.

« Jacky est une ressource très important pour nos programmes, » dit Kris Westwood, le directeur haute performance de l’ACC. « Son connaissance profond du cyclisme sur route et son talent pour travailler avec des jeunes coureurs en développement seront des éléments clés dans la réussite des programmes que nous planifions pour 2006 et après. »

Jacky sera responsable pour les programmes de l’ACC en Europe, y compris la gestion d’une base européenne. Il travaillera étroitement avec l’entraîneur national sur route et avec Sean O’Donnell et Kris Westwood au bureau national.

Provenant de Normandie, Jacky est un ancien coureur professionnel qui a gagna une étape de la Course de la paix et participa au Tour de France en 1978 avec l’équipe Fiat. Après sa retraite de la compétition, il était rédacteur d’un magazine français de cyclisme. Il réside en Guadeloupe.
