Kids Races at Amino Vital Downsview Park Fall Festival Bicycle Races on Sept 18th!

Don‚t forget to enter your kids into the Downsview Park Community Fun bicycle races. Races are for children 4 years of age and older. All bicycle types allowed, including training wheels. Race distances are age appropriate. That is if we can get the young ones to stop.

Free entry with completed OCA waiver. Registration is on site on race day.

Everyone wins, everyone gets a memento.

Ontario ITT Championships

The host the 2005 Ontario Provincial Time Trial Championships, St. Catharines CC, would like to invite all out of province, including US, riders to participate in the September 24th event.

The race will take place on a 40km (15km for cadet men and junior women) out and back course along the south side of the Welland River (River Rd.).

Race Schedule/Fees

Entry fee is $30 for all categories and includes lunch. Please select FREE LUNCH when you register so that they club can properly prepare for numbers.

Ontario Association of Trialthletes (OAT) your categories are listed at below the OCA ones.

The schedule of start times for the time trial will be determined once the full list of registered racers is determined. Start times will be posted here.

Online Registration is available at www.canadiancyclist.com. There will be NO day of registration. Online registration will close Wednesday, September 21 at 12 noon.

Directions

From Toronto / Hamilton:

• Take QEW towards Niagara
• Exit at Rd. 24 South to Vineland Station (Victoria Ave. S.)
• Continue on Rd. 24 for approximately 18 km.
• Turn right onto Canboro Rd.
• Continue on Canboro Rd. to Wellandport (approximately 8 km)
• Turn left onto Regional Road 27
• Turn right onto Creek Road
• Look for marshals directing to parking

September 8th

Pat Ferris made it two wins in a row with a win on the Beatton mountain bike time trial, Thursday night. He had a time of 19:17 minutes. Roger St. Jean was second at 20:35 and Kevin Cooper third at 22:06.

Sam Keats was 4th at 26:06, Barb Polehoykie 5th at 27:20 and Adam Currie 6th at 28:53.

Sunday is the last Challenge Cup race of the season. The locals need a minor miracle to get enough riders to get the 104 points needed to keep Grande Prairie from winning the Challenge Cup for the first time in recent memory. The Blizzards need every rider they can muster! Race time for this important mountain bike race is 2 pm at Beatton Park.
