Ontario Cycling Association Sponsors Kids Cycling Event
Courtesy OCA

The Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) is pleased to announce its support of the ZM Oktoberfest Challenge, a race for mountain bike and cyclo-cross at Cedarvale Park in Toronto, on October 2nd. This event is for all ages and race will start at 11 o'clock, at the Phil White Arena.

With the OCA's support, entry fees for the event will be brought down from $20 to $5 for 18 and under participants. This support is made possible through the OCA's involvement in the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's City of Toronto District Bingo program.

Ziggy Martuzalski, the organizer of this event, stated "This is a great opportunity for kids in Toronto. With all the crazy things happening on the streets of our city, I wanted to provide an outlet for our youth to get involved. There's no better way than through a fun, challenging recreational activity. You can use any bike you want to participate. No bike? You can just come to show your support, get entertained and who knows ... get hooked to cycling! There are no entry fees for spectators."

Proceeds from the event will be given to both the Victoria D'Agostino Children's Benefit Fund and Toronto Parks & Recreation.

For more information on participating or volunteering, please visit www.zmcyclefitness.com or www.ontariocycling.org or call Ziggy at 416-652-0080.
