Olympic Oval National Cycling Centre Open House

The Olympic Oval National Cycling Centre is welcoming athletes and parents to our open house October 4th at 7pm in the Olympic Oval front lounge.

The certified coaches will introduce themselves and go through the general outline, training camp schedule and the goals and objectives for the 05/06 season.

The National Cycling Centre, Junior Development, Junior Elite/Endurance, Oval Program and BMX programs train year round starting Oct 11th-August 31st. For more information about each program go to www.oval.ucalgary.ca

The UCI Europe Tour rankings will be published later. The 2005-2006 UCI Europe Tour will start on 15th October 2005 and will end on 14th October 2006. For the UCI Africa Tour, the UCI Amercia Tour, the UCI Asia Tour and the UCI Oceania Tour, the season will start on 1st October 2005 and will end on 30th September 2006.

At the beginning of each season, the points from the previous season will be erased and riders will start from scratch.

Since the beginning of the 2005 season, the Road events have been gathered into 6 circuits: the UCI ProTour, in which we find the 20 best teams and the 27 biggest races of the world, and 5 Continental Circuits.
