Technical Director

The National Cycling Centre - Atlantic Canada seeks the services of a Technical Director to work in support of its cycling programs which are among some of the most successful in the country. One of the goals of the Centre is to produce international calibre athletes and it currently needs to strengthen its administrative sector in support of the coaching staff. This position is created in partnership with the Go NB! Program and many other active partners.

The main responsibilities of this position include:


* Administrative support of the office, programs, and management committee

* Basic accounting

* Coaching and community leadership development and mentoring

* Event coordination

* Responding to general information requests

* Marketing and sponsorship development and support

* Liaison with our partners

* Facility development and maintenance (Caisse populaire Dieppe Velodrome and BMX track)


Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have a degree from a post-secondary institution or equivalent experience in an administrative role, preferably within a sports environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and be able to work with little supervision. The position requires strong organizational skills, enthusiasm, attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Proficiency and demonstrated training in Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, e-mail and desktop publishing are other pre-requisites. Bilingualism and a background in cycling and would be considered assets, but are not a requirement.
