New Team For Zach Bell in 2006

After a year with the Jet Fuel Team in Toronto, Canadian National Track Team member Zach Bell will be riding for a new team in 2006. Rite Aid Pro Cycling presented by Snow Valley (formerly the Snow Valley Pro Cycling Presented by Seal-On of 2005) will be his new home. The team has continental status for 2006 and will run a schedule focused on the NRC calendar.

Zach has also launched a new website where he will continue the journal and video entries he started while with the Jet Fuel Team. You can follow the entries at www.zerailleur.com. He is currently training and preparing for the upcoming World Cup in Los Angeles.

Montreal World Cup Organizer Wins Lawsuit

Épreuves de la Coupe du monde Cycliste Féminine, organizers of the Montreal Women's World Cup and Le Tour du Grand Montreal, announced today that they have successfully defended their use of the name Le Tour du Grand Montreal from a legal challenge by Vélo Québec.

Vélo Québec had argued that the name Le Tour du Grand Montreal was too close that of their own Le Tour de l'Ile de Montréal. The Québec Superior Court judge before whom the case was argued (Honourable Brian Riordan) rejected the Vélo Québec claim, stating that it was "difficult to imagine" that the public would be confused by the two names (ie, could not differentiate between them).
