Lambert, a leading pan-Canadian distributor of products for the bicycle and running industries, announced today that it has enrolled in SmartEtailing’s Supplier Sync. With this program, Lambert's inventory maps to SmartEtailing's master catalog to display a much broader selection of what Lambert has in stock, with updates every 15 minutes. The system also blends with the store’s inventory for those stores that share their point-of-sale inventory with SmartEtailing. Store inventory appears with an availability status of “In Store.” Lambert’s inventory is displayed as “In Warehouse.
“We are excited to partner with SmartEtailing, an experienced company that has an extensive background in helping local specialty retailers use their websites to better serve customers,” explained Sylvain Caya, General Manager at Lambert. “We strongly believe in a model in which brick and mortar stores are still the central point of the interaction with the consumers. Retailers’ websites become a complement to satisfy consumers who enjoy shopping online for convenience - but still want retailer expertise for service, fitting and warranty support.”
A number of Lambert’s exclusively distributed brands will be instantly included in this program, including Abus, BionX, Cat Eye, Genuine Innovations, Gore, Look, Michelin, OnGuard, Pedro’s, Tifosi, and ZIPP. In addition, many other brands carried by Lambert are included: Avid, Campagnolo, CycleOps, DT Swiss, FSA, Garmin, Jagwire, Maxxis, Park Tool, RockShox, Saris, Schwalbe, Selle Italia, Shimano, SRAM, and Truvativ, to name a few.
“We consistently hear from our clients in Canada that Lambert is one of their trusted supply sources,” notes SmartEtailing Co-founder Mark Graff. “Now that Lambert is part of Supplier Sync, more consumers in Canada will enjoy better visibility to a broader selection of popular brands that they can browse and purchase from retailers in their own communities.”
Lambert’s reputation for overnight delivery across Canada helps any participating store quickly obtain “warehouse” items that they do not have in stock. Lambert also plans to add SmartEtailing’s Supplier Fulfillment service at a later date. Supplier Fulfillment provides a way for retailers to outsource pick-pack-and-ship expertise to the experts at Lambert. Together, Sync and Fulfillment will ensure that store customers enjoy real-time access and expert handling of their online purchases either for in-store pickup or for store-branded delivery right to their homes.
