Devinci's R&D department, adjacent to its factory in Chicoutimi, had to do some reorganizing to welcome new resources.

David Veilleux, the first Quebecer to complete the Tour de France, was named R&D / Road Brand Manager. According to General Manager Yvan Rodrigue, "David brings to the team a vision of the road bike that is both vast and very specific. It's clear that his contribution will improve our upcoming models."

Christophe Riopel-Benoit became Project Leader in Frames, Suspension and Composite Materials Specialist. The experience he acquired at LM Wind Power and Bombardier Aerospace, especially with carbon fibre, is a perfect fit for Devinci. Christophe also specializes in suspension design, in addition to being a huge fan of mountain biking.

Finally, Mikhaël Simard, Eng., previously working for Bombardier Recreational Product on the CanAm Defender, was named Project Leader in the Self-service Bikes & E-Bikes section. Devinci has manufactured Bixis since 2009. There are more than 50,000 self-service bikes being used around the world, in New York, Chicago, London, Melbourne and many other cities. This market niche is always in demand and E-Bikes are a booming business.

Bruno Gauthier, Eng., Director of the R&D department, says that "it was essential that we mobilize a resource for these extremely promising segments. With these new appointments, we can remain on the cutting edge in terms of research and development, while maintaining our high standards for performance and quality."
