The Pacific Cycling Centre will be coordinating two cycling seminars in January. Led by Head Coach Houshang Amiri, the seminars will be held on Saturday, January 9th in Victoria, BC, and on Sunday, January 17th in Mission, BC.
The January 9th seminar will be a free event called Advanced Cycling Training Using Power. The seminar will be held at PacificSport, Commonwealth Place, 100 - 4636 Elk Lake Drive Victoria, BC from 9 am - 11 am. The seminar is open to cyclists of all abilities and no prior power training experience is required. To register email: admin@pacificcyclingcentre.ca.
On January 17th Phoenix Velo in Mission, BC will kick-off their 2010 season with a Spin, Seminar and Swap session. Feature presenter will be Pacific Cycling Centre Head Coach Houshang Amiri. Topics will include recovery-based training, using heart rate monitors, and riding economy. The seminar will be followed by a spin workout. The session will run from 12 noon - 4 pm.
