Two time World Champion Susanne Ljungskog of Sweden has announced her retirement.
Ljungskog was diagnosed, last year with hemochromatosis - an illness that causes the body to absorb too much iron - forcing her to end the season prematurely.
World Champion in 2002 (Zolder) and 2003 (Hamilton) Ljungskog's palmares also include wins at Tour de l'Aude, Giro de Toscana, Holland Ladies Tour, is seven-time Swedish champion, and is a four time Olympian.
