Plastiglas Ontario Cup #1 at Mansfield Outdoor Centre on May 1st
Mansfield Outdoor Centre has been the site of the first Ontario Cup of the season for over 5 years with over 600 participants expected this coming weekend. “Mansfield holds up amazing in all kinds of weather conditions and provides a course that is fun, flowing, but nothing overly serious for those who haven’t had a lot of mountain biking yet,” says Chico Founder Adam Ruppel. Even without much mountain biking in your legs, racing Mansfield will help you get the cobwebs out.
The Plastiglas Ontario Cup Series has categories for all ages and ability levels, but the Pro/Elites race at 1:30 pm. This is the series that helped launch the careers of some of Canada’s and the World’s best including Emily Batty, Derek Zanstra and Seamus McGrath. We often see many of Canada’s best including Andrew Watson, Derek Zandstra, Peter Glassford, Amanda Sin and Adam Morka racing these events between World and Canada Cup Races.
Please note that riders who haven’t purchased their full licences through the Ontario Cycling Association can purchase them at www.ontariocycling.org by Tuesday, April 25th without any penalties. Pre-registration, including full series registration, is available until Tuesday, April 25th with event day registration available on site at www.chicoracing.com .
