Canadian Mountain Bikers to race against the world in second and third UCI World Cup events of the 2011 season
The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is pleased to announce the athletes selected for the 2011 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup races in Yorkshire-Dalby Forest, GBR on May 21-22, and Offenburg, GER on May 28-29.
Lead by Head Coach Dan Proulx, a total of 10 riders will compete under the Team Canada banner, including Andrew Watson, the 2010 Canada Cup winner, Max Plaxton, the current leader of the USA Pro XC Tour, and Evan McNeely the Canadian Junior National Champion, as well as women elite riders Amanda Sin and Mical Dyck to name a few.
In addition to the Canadian team member, other Canadians will be racing with their respective pro teams, such as Catharine Pendral (Team Luna), Marie-Hélène Prémont (Maxxis-Rocky Mountain), Geoff Kabush (Maxxis-Rocky Mountain) and Emily Batty (Subaru-Trek) and Francis Morin (BH-Suntour-Peisey Vallandry).
