Saskatoon has successfully embraced the Ice Cycle over the past two years, so we decided it was time to celebrate cycling during a slightly warmer time of year!
On June 12th, 2011, from 12-4pm, Sun Cycle will celebrate active transportation and promote the incredible cycling community in Saskatoon.
Building off the momentum of the 2010 and 2011 Ice Cycle’s, events that attracted a combined 400 cyclists in sub-zero weather, Sun Cycle plans to draw even more Saskatoonians for a celebration of everything cycling related!
The event will be held at the Farmers’ Market from 12-4pm. Sun Cycle is hosted by Saskatoon Cycles, Saskatoon’s Cycling Advocacy Group, with the support of a wide number of local business and organizations.
The event will focus on interactive cycling activities including a cycling safety seminar by the Saskatoon Police Service, bike repair stations by local bike shops, decorate your bike station by the Children’s Discovery Museum, Repair how-to’s by the Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op, and many more. Live entertainment will be provided courtesy of Vive Music.
