The Saskatchewan Cycling Association (SCA) is pleased to announce the hiring of a provincial coach, Sean Scott.
The SCA has not had a full time paid coach since 1989, but thanks to a grant from Sask Sport, the SCA is able to re-create this position!
Sean has moved to Regina from Ontario and is quickly learning about the cycling scene in the province.
Sean, began racing in late 1989, spent two years racing in France on a Professional Team, and raced on various teams in Ontario and the United States till 2004. He started coaching in 2003 and began coaching full-time shortly thereafter.
Prior to cycling, he was a provincially ranked junior in tennis and began instructing tennis at age 14 until age 19.
As a coach, he has worked with several professional women and even had a brief stint as manager rider of his own team in the mid 90’s. He has also worked with development athletes at the grass roots and high performance levels with Team Ontario.
