Established in 1981, in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Rocky Mountain Bicycles is a leading mountain bike brand around the world and currently seeking a professional sales candidate to represent Rocky Mountain, Miele and eVox bicycles throughout British Columbia.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Background in cycling and sales

• Strong understanding of bicycle retail in all categories

• Proven sales track record

• Existing relationships with BC dealer network

• Ability to work independently to achieve necessary results

• Ability to assemble bicycles, maintain and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues


Minimum qualifications:

• 5+ years in bicycle industry (rep or retail)

• 1+ years in a position requiring extensive travel

• Superior customer service and sales ability

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Post secondary education in sales, marketing and/or business development

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs


Basic job requirements, not limited to:

• Promote Rocky Mountain, Miele and eVox brands throughout territory

• Protect, maintain and expand current position in the market

• Develop relationships with existing and new dealers

• Create strategic territory plan for expansion and growth in all categories

• Identify and execute new distribution and marketing opportunities

• Maximize sales cycles to achieve territory budget and deadlines

• Establish and execute demo tour, product knowledge, and information sessions with dealers and consumers (including land access permits)

• Assemble and maintain BC demo fleet

• Sell off demo fleet at the end of the demo season

• Attend trade and consumer events to promote new and existing product

• Organize and host annual dealer meeting, demo and product launch

• Stay current with competitor landscape, product and trends

• Share regular feedback with product development and marketing

• Liaise between dealers, warranty, credit and customer service departments

• Maintain and update account contacts, primaries and position in the market

• Establish regular call schedule throughout territory

• Provide weekly territory report to sales manager

• Ability to travel up to 50% in territory, primarily by car

• Attending weekend events through peak season required
