The IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew is back for a third year!
Rachael Raven and AJ Strawson will be starting their first season in Canada's beautiful Yukon Territory in July, then traveling though Ontario, Quebec, the Prairies, and Western Canada. Find out if they will be coming to a town near you by following their schedule ( www.imbacanada.com/news/trail-care-crew-2012-schedule ), and read about their adventures through IMBA Canada's blog.
Directed by IMBA Canada, and sponsored by Parks Canada and the Trans Canada Trail, the IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew travels across the country in a Subaru Outback, giving trail building workshops to IMBA clubs, Parks Canada sites, and Trans Canada Trail local, provincial and territorial organizations. In 2012, the Trail Care Care Crew will be working directly with 12 IMBA clubs, 9 National Parks or National Historic Sites, and 4 Trans Canada Trail groups.
Highlights of this season will include a week long visit in the Yukon, visiting Kluane National Park and Contagious Mountain Bike Club in Whitehorse. The Crew will also be attending IMBA Ontario's Trailblazing Festival on August 18-19 at Hardwood Ski and Bike, and IMBA's World Summit in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Hearty thanks to program partners Parks Canada and Trans Canada Trail. Additional thanks to equipment sponsors Subaru Canada, Trek Bicycles, Thule, Camelbak, Kryptonite, and Giro, who make the day-to-day operations of the Crew possible!
