The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to welcome Hannah Parish to its Board of Directors. Hannah is currently Marketing Manager for Specialized Canada, where she oversees all aspects of marketing for the company in Canada. She has previously held marketing and management positions with Novartis Consumer Health and General Mills. Prior to moving to Montreal for her current position she was a member of the FlyGurlz Mountain Bike Club & Team.
Ms. Parish’s appointment to the CCA Board came about due to the resignation of a Board member. The by-laws of the association require the Board to fill the vacancy by appointment.
CCA President John Tolkamp noted that Hannah was coming to the Board at an exciting time in the development of the association. “Hannah’s skill set brings an added dimension to our already strong Board. It is encouraging to have such accomplished professionals offer their time and expertise to the association as we move towards realizing our vision of being a top cycling nation and best in class organization”, said Tolkamp.
As the newest member to the Board, Hannah will be receiving an orientation in advance of the next Board meeting in May and learning more about the main challenges and opportunities facing the organization. In response to her appointment she said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be appointed to the CCA board. I look forward to contributing to the organization’s bright future."
The position is for the duration of the term concluding at the 2012 Annual General Meeting.
