The Tom Jehlicka Memorial Crit this year is August 5th, the long weekend in August. The Cobourg Cycling Club is hosting this event again and this year there is a women's race. So there will be four races - Beginners start at 9:00 am then Sportif riders go at 10:15, the Women's Open is scheduled for 11:15 and the Men's Open event at 12:45 pm.
The course is one of the best learning crit courses in the province. Flat and smooth roads with wide corners you can pedal through make it easy to follow any group. Whether a competitor is beginning or experienced, the racing here is always fun. We typically have had about 100 racers total. This makes for manageable field sizes that give everybody the opportunity to play a role in the race!
