Bicycle Nova Scotia(BNS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Feenstra as the Head Coach of the 2013 Bicycle Nova Scotia Canada Games Cycling Team. Mr Feenstra brings a wealth of knowledge to the position as he has been part of the Canada Games cycling movement since 1997. “I’m excited to work with the core team this fall and winter, in preparation for the selection races, and then the lead up to the Games,” says Mr. Feentsra
“Mr Feenstra was the ideal candidature possessing local, provincial, national and international coaching experience. He was involved in our 2009 team which earned Nova Scotia’s first cycling medal” indicates Simon Myatt – Bicycle Nova Scotia Coach & Athlete Development Coordinator.
“We are thrilled to see one of the top coaches in Atlantic Canada lead our team to the 2013 Canada Games.” said Jamie Lamb, President of Bicycle Nova Scotia. “Andrew has demonstrated his coaching abilities with such athletes as national level mountain biker Andrew L’esperance, and running the very successful Cyclesmith Junior Racing Team.”
Feenstra has won numerous coaching awards, including the most recent, 2011/12 Ricoh Sports Award Coach of the Year for cycling.
