The Pacific Cycling Centre, Victoria, BC will be holding its fifth training camp on March 14-17. The off-season winter training camp will focus on endurance, strength, core stability, flexibility and balance. The group rides aim to develop and improve endurance and boost aerobic capacity for both road race and short distance track cyclists.
Led by Head Coach, Houshang Amiri, the four-day camp will include four endurance rides and will feature tips on pedaling efficiency and learning how to develop a correct technique; recovery based training - learning how to manage your fatigue and recovery from training and competition, and strength evaluations and observation during the dynamic strength sessions.
The camp is open to all levels and will assist in training and preparation for the season ahead. The camp will work and improve aerobic power, ITT, and climbing technique. Under the supervision of the PCC coaches, athletes will improve their fitness levels and receive feedback on training as they build a foundation for the season.
