The campaign to recognize Canadian cycling legend Clara Hughes in Dundas, Ontario will take place on April 27th. A local group has been raising money to place a plaque on the locally famous Sydenham Road climb up the Niagara Escarpment in Dundas, where Hughes used to train regularly while living in the area during the 90's. Nicknamed 'Clara's Climb', the road was used for during the Tour de Canada stage race and the 1992 Olympic Trials. Hughes will also be speaking at Mohawk College in nearby Hamilton on the 26th, as part of their Mohawk Talks program.
