The Steve Bauer Yellow Jersey Xperience took place during the Centurion Blue Mountain event this past September, in Collingwood, Ontario. This VIP experience was initiated to raise funds and contribute to Canada's new Velodrome under construction in Milton.
The Steve Bauer YJX is pleased to announce a contribution of $15,230 to the capital campaign of the Mattamy National Cycling Center, which will be a spectacular venue to host track cycling for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am & Parapan Am Games and become a nucleus for Canadian cycling's future.
The pre-event dinner was memorable with MC Bob "Bobke" Roll embellishing Tour de France stories while engaging conversation with celebrity athletes Simon Whitfield, Todd Brooker and Gilbert Dionne in attendance. A big thank you goes out to all of our YJX team riders, volunteers, donors, and sponsors which collectively made this project a success.
"Everyone who joined us for the Steve Bauer YJX has given us very positive reviews of their weekend at Centurion Blue Mountain. We are happy to do our part in building awareness and momentum for the Velodrome's ultimate success. Thank you to Graham Fraser and the entire Centurion team for working with us in this endeavour and for conducting a superb event" commented Bauer.
