In just the last two weeks over 360 young riders have taken part in iRide: Cycling BC's FREE Schools and Communities Program. This is a great success and we are looking for even more participants in your community!
At Cycling BC our goal is to provide all young people in BC with physical literacy through a positive cycling experience and to help create a pathway from the playground to the highest level of the sport (or anywhere in between).
One of the primary goals in Cycling BC's Strategic Plan is to continue to provide more opportunities for young people to be active and to take-up sport for life. After all, our youngest riders are our future! Cycling BC's iRide program is designed to be an enjoyable and educational activity for children and youth who demonstrate varying levels of bike riding experience.
The iRide program increases knowledge about bike safety and allows children to practice smart decision-making skills. Most of all, the iRide program inspires children and youth to develop their riding skills and increase their fitness level.
With strong growth over the past seven years iRide is looking to expand even further and to bring physical literacy to your community. Do you want Cycling BC to run one our FREE iRide programs in your school or community?
Contact Stephen Berg at schools@cyclingbc.net for more information about iRide.
We thank all the supporters of Cycling BC who continue to make iRide possible by helping to fund these programs and bring the sport of Cycling to BC's children and youth!
