Richmond 2015, the organizer of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships, today announced that travel packages are now available for the nine-day cycling event in Richmond in September 2015.

The fan packages offered at Richmond2015.com through Richmond 2015's three Official Travel Agents (OTAs) - Custom Getaways (United States), STA Travel (Europe) and Flight Centre Active Travel (Asia Pacific) - feature competitive airline/accommodations and mix cycling and tourism activities with the World Championships, regarded as one of cycling's premier annual events. Cycling enthusiasts visiting Richmond can choose from experiences during and outside race times, such as exclusive opportunities to enjoy restricted-access event seating, premium hospitality along the circuit and even the opportunity to ride portions of the 2015 UCI Road Worlds courses.

"The fan packages are the best way for cycling fans from around the United States and the rest of the world to experience the UCI Road World Championships and all that the Richmond region and Virginia have to offer," said Tim Miller, chief operating officer of Richmond 2015.

Richmond 2015, in partnership with Mummu Sport, a global sports and entertainment firm based in Australia, launched the Richmond 2015 Travel Office in July to help coordinate travel logistics for the more than 1,000 cyclists, team members and officials, as well as cycling fans, who will visit Richmond for the event, which has not been held in the United States since 1986.

"The Official Travel Agents are the only providers of exclusive access to a variety of experiences, hospitality and official hotels for the biggest cycling event to be held in the United States in nearly 30 years," said Marcel Berger, executive director of Mummu Sport and head of the Richmond 2015 Travel Office. "Each of our OTAs has put together incredible and diverse offerings; we encourage fans planning to attend the Worlds to check out each operator to find the package that best suits their needs."
