The goal of the Road Safety Challenge is to engage the participation of road safety groups and community members to work together to make Ontario's roads safer. The Ministry of Transportation is accepting funding applications for the 2015 Road Safety Challenge until Tuesday, March 31st.
Now in it's 18th year, the road safety challenge will emphasize five priority themes:
• Distracted Driving
• Impaired Driving by Drugs or Alcohol
• Pedestrian Safety
• Cycling Safety
• Slow Down, Move Over for Tow Trucks
Teams may apply to receive funding of $500, $750 or $1,000 for a maximum of two themes. Visit their website for more details and to view the application package.
